Angling Achievements: Many club and open match wins over the years. I produce my own angling DVD series called The Obsessed Angler and present an angling internet radio show on www.ridgeradio.co.uk (also called The Obsessed Angler). I have appeared in many magazines including Total Coarse Fishing, Improve Your Coarse Fishing, Pole Fishing, Match Fishing, Angler's Mail and Angling Times, as well as TV appearances on Sky Sports programme 'Tight Lines'. I starred in the opening trailer sequence to the Fish O Mania 2009 final and I also have a regular 'In Sessions' feature slot on www.fishingmagic.com and my own website www.russevans.com.

Most memorable match: Winning day 1 with 40lbs 12oz of skimmers on the pole off the punts at Patshull Park near Wolverhampton during a 68 pegger 2 day festival. It was the first time I had fished a pole off a boat - thankfully I did not have to fish at 16 metres.

Angling Ambitions: To reach and win a Fish O Mania final. To carry on enjoying what I like to do best - catching fish. To remain in the angling industry until I have to hang my rods up! To carry on promoting the great sport that angling is and to pass on my knowledge to help others catch more fish.
